Outdoor Stapleford Christmas Lights switch-on show for VW

Verbal Warning are stoked to let you know we have been invited to perform at the official Stapleford Christmas Lights Switch On on Saturday, 21st November.

Full details and time are yet to be announced but it will be outdoors obviously and around tea time. And there will be a fireworks display too.

Congratulations to our drummer Ant Warning and wife Rosa on the recent birth of son Jackson.

However, the little soldier has arrived very early and is being well looked after in the QMC so Ant has understandably put down his drum sticks for a while until all settles down.

Former VW drummer Ian Warning has agreed to dust down his sticks, learn the new songs and fill in after almost 11 years away from the seat.

He has already played excellent sets at Whitwell Holmefield Arms and Long Eaton Stumble Inn to knock the rust off.

However, he does have some holidays planned so we had to cancel three gigs completely and move the date of another.

Gigs at Presley's Club, Kirk Hallam, Coalville Vic and the Seven Stars, Riddings were lost.

But the outdoor gig at The Bunny Hop, Langley Mill, will now take place on a new date of Saturday, 18th July – start time likely to be 4pm.

We still have a few tickets for the Rock & Bike Festival on 9th-11th July. I believe we are playing on the Friday.

And tickets are also still on sale for the legendary Peter & The Test Tube Babies gig at the Salutation in Nottingham on Sunday, 5th July when we will be opening the show with a set at 7pm.
