BEARDED THEORY RETURN AS EXCITING YEAR SHAPES UP FOR VW
Hi everyone – 2024 is shaping up to be another exciting year for Verbal Warning
We have 39 gigs on the schedule – including some ace festivals – with a few more likely to be added here and there.
Our most exciting gig of the year will be our return to Bearded Theory Festival, which we last played in 2011 in the Bearded Top.
We have been confirmed for this end of May Bank Holiday to play a set in the famous Something Else Tea Tent, which always has a fantastic array of acts on.
And the main stages have some mind-blowing stuff on from Jane's Addiction to Dexys.
As soon as we know a day and a time for that we will let you know – thanks so much to Gail for booking us.
That will be just a week before we play Vorneyfest for the first time at Thoresby Park, near Newark.
VW will also be playing at a charity night called Murphyfest which is taking place at Long Eaton's Moorlands Club on Friday, 5th April.
Also on the bill are Darwin's Rejects, Urban Hillbillys and Warren Ireland.
It looks a great night and tickets are only £10.
The night is raising vital funds for Life Commitment Dog Rescue and many of you will know the harrowing story behind the decision to set this night up.
It would be great to see you support it and come down.
We have also had a gig added at the new home of the MFN Bike Night, which has moved for a second time, this time from Stanton to Arnold.
Jinny, who ran the MFN bar, has taken over The Waggon and Horses at 260 Mansfield Road, Arnold and the whole night is moving up there from next month – we are playing on Wednesday, 17th April.
It has a great bar, large car park with separate parking for cars, outdoor seating area, tea, coffee and great well priced burgers from Danny’s wagon plus a fantastic hall at the back for live music at 9pm each Wednesday.
We also have two unplugged acoustic trio shows lined up too, the first of which is this Friday night at Chesterfield's Glassworks and another in Beeston next month if you fancy seeing us doing our show very differently!
